Products Description

Ultra-Thin Stainless Steel Mesh | High-Quality Ultra-Thin Wire Mesh

Ultra-thin stainless steel wire mesh (also known as ultra-thin stainless steel wire cloth, fine stainless steel mesh, micron wire cloth, or precision woven wire mesh) is a high-precision metal filtration material manufactured with ultra-fine stainless steel wire through advanced weaving technology. This type of ultra-thin stainless steel mesh has uniform mesh, high firmness, thin thickness, good flexibility and good air permeability. It is usually used in occasions that require heat resistance and corrosion resistance, and is often used in applications that require shielding electromagnetic interference and radio frequency interference.

Common Weaving Methods for Stainless Steel Ultra-Thin Mesh

Plain Weave, Twill Weave, Dutch Weave (Plain Dutch / Twill Dutch)

Plain Weave

● Most commonly used structure

● Balanced strength and filtration accuracy

● Uniform square openings

The stainless steel mesh with plain weave has a compact structure, good strength, and is easy to produce. It is the most common weaving method. This weaving method is suitable for the production of ordinary filter mesh and screen mesh, and is suitable for ultra-thin mesh that requires high-precision apertures.

Twill Weave

● Suitable for higher mesh counts

Twill weave stainless steel ultra-thin mesh is denser than plain weave, and the interlacing is more compact, which enhances the durability and high temperature resistance of the mesh. Twill weave stainless steel ultra-thin mesh has more uniform and stable mesh, better pressure resistance and corrosion resistance, and is suitable for finer screening and filtering.

Dutch Weave (Plain Dutch / Twill Dutch)

● Designed for ultra-precision filtration

● Non-uniform structure for improved particle retention

● Ideal for micron-level filtration applications

Application of Stainless Steel Ultra-Thin Mesh

Ultra-thin stainless steel mesh is a high-precision material widely applied in micron filtration,  EMI shielding, RFI shielding, screen printing, and high-density printing, where performance stability depends on strict control of filtration rating (μm), wire diameter tolerance, and mesh thickness tolerance.

In filtration systems, it ensures consistent separation efficiency at the micron level, while in electronic applications it provides reliable electromagnetic interference protection and stable conductive performance. Within the battery industry, it is used in electrode support structures and conductive components to improve safety, durability, and energy efficiency.

Stainless steel ultra-thin mesh is used for EMI shielding, precision filtration, architectural decoration, ventilation screening, and electronic device protection etc.

Filtration and Separation

Ultra-thin stainless steel mesh can effectively separate and screen substances of different particle sizes. It is widely used in filter meshes in water treatment equipment, vibrating screens in petroleum filtration, oil and gas separation devices, etc.

Electronic Shielding

Ultra-thin stainless steel mesh for EMI and RFI shielding, the dense conductive mesh structure effectively blocks electromagnetic interference, protecting sensitive components.

Electronics and Semiconductor

In electronics and semiconductor manufacturing, it serves as a high-precision screen printing mesh for circuit boards and displays, where uniform aperture ensures accurate ink deposition.

Precision Filtration

The ultra-fine mesh of stainless steel ultra-thin mesh can effectively remove fine impurities and ensure product quality. Therefore, it is often used for filtration in the chemical, pharmaceutical, food, beverage industries and some high-end industrial screening.

Medical Industry

Due to the high strength, corrosion resistance and biocompatibility of stainless steel ultra-thin mesh, it is often used in medical equipment, surgical instrument screens, medical experimental sample filtration, etc. in the biomedical industry.

Aerospace

In the aerospace industry, there are very high requirements for the strength, corrosion resistance and lightness of materials. Stainless steel ultra-thin mesh can be used as protective covers, filters, isolation nets, etc. to meet these high-standard applications.

Additional applications include battery electrode manufacturing, ceramic and glassware printing, aerospace sensor components, and industrial gas and liquid filtration where micron-level precision is essential.

Trusted Professional Ultra-thin Stainless Steel Mesh Manufacturer

Hebei Cechen New Material Co., Ltd., as a professional wire mesh manufacturer, provides ultra-thin stainless steel wire mesh that meets the highest industry standards. Our precision weaving technology enables ultra-fine mesh openings, uniform mesh size, and tight tolerances. Our ultra-thin stainless steel wire mesh has an aperture ratio between 15% and 50%, offering excellent light transmittance suitable for precision screen printing and optical applications. Wire diameters range from 0.015 mm to 0.1 mm, and mesh counts range from 100 to 635 mesh per inch. Our ultra-thin stainless steel wire mesh achieves filtration ratings as fine as 20μm, with mesh thickness tolerances held within ±0.005mm across the full roll width. Wire diameter tolerance is maintained at ±0.002mm through precision drawing, ensuring uniform aperture distribution critical for consistent micron filtration performance. Each production batch undergoes optical inspection for mesh count verification and surface flatness assessment, with full dimensional reports available upon request. This is crucial for applications such as precision filtration, electronic shielding, and micro-component support.

We understand that our customers are highly concerned about the uniformity, dimensional accuracy, durability, and batch-to-batch consistency of ultra-thin mesh. To address these pain points, we have implemented stringent inspection standards, including aperture testing, wire diameter control, and surface quality checks. This ensures that every roll of mesh delivers predictable and repeatable performance. With extensive experience in precision weaving and material selection, we are able to provide global customers with products that offer consistent mesh precision, reliable mechanical properties, and stable supply.
